 A couple of heavily weathered freight cars in N scale. Scratches made with acrylics and a lot of washes with enamels and oils to achieve the effects.

Industrial decay final post

I decided not to use the access iron construction over the tank car 'cause it looked like overwhelming the right part of the dio. To fill the empty space i made an old industrial machinery in a pile of trash. This was painted with a random green enamel, followed by sponge and acrylics ( dark red brown and rust ). Then some washes with oils ( raw umber, burnt sienna and enamel flat black.Mig engine oil wash at the front completed the neglected machinery.

                A piece of an old PC cable, an 1/72 scale tank wheel and some plastic bits......

The work on the diorama continues slowly, as I want to finish it without any hurry. Here are some shots of the base. I believe that my next post will be the final for this project .......
